Charles Nations

Charles Allen Nations, known affectionately as Allen, was born on November 25, 1955, in Mississippi. He departed from this world on October 16, 2025, at the University Medical Center, leaving behind a legacy interwoven with service, dedication, and love.

Allen had a distinguished career marked by his commitment to public service. He was an esteemed member of the Canton Fire Department and served honorably as the Fire Chief for the Choctaw Fire Department. His dedication extended beyond firefighting; he also contributed his skills to the Department of Transportation, working tirelessly to enhance community safety and infrastructure.

In addition to his professional endeavors, Allen was a man of deep family values. His three beloved children survive him: Mary Elizabeth Nations, Kathryn Elizabeth Nations, and Stephan Allen Nation. His family brought him immense joy and pride, and his memory will live on through them.

Allen is also remembered for the profound impact of his relationships with friends and family, including his sister, Cindy Slaton, and brother, Kevin Nations. His family circle included nine cherished grandchildren, who were a source of great happiness in his life. He leaves behind a host of relatives and friends who will remember him fondly.

Beyond his roles in family and career, Allen found pleasure in the great outdoors, with hobbies that included hunting deer and turkey. These pursuits illustrated his adventurous spirit and appreciation for nature.

Allen's enduring spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His life was a testament to dedication, resilience, and love, serving as an inspiration to family, friends, and the community he devoted himself to throughout his life.
