Connie Hugh Brown the 4 th child born to Mildred Posey Brown andHugh B. Brown. He accepted Christ at an early age and joined Oak Grove AMEChurch. He renewed his commitment just a few years before his passing. He ispreceded in death by his loving grandparents Willie and Elnora Brown andFrances (Wes) Haralson Robinson and L C. Posey. Also a host of aunts anduncles.SUNSET – Connie Hugh departed this life on January 6, 2019 at the VA Hospitalin Jackson, MS.EDUCATION AND CAREER - Connie was educated in the Yazoo County PublicSchools. He enlisted in the U. S. Army after graduation from Benton High Schoolin 1980. He served in the United States Army and National Guard until heretired. He served in Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan on his lasttour of Duty. He loved being a soldier and served his country well with manyaccolades and accomplishments.FAMILY - He married his High School Sweetheart, Juanita Henderson Brown andto this union one daughter, Connita Brown Sharp was born.He leaves to cherish his memories, a loving Father and Mother, Hugh & MildredBrown of Benton, MS. Two daughters, Connita (Darcel) Brown Sharp of Tacoma,Washington. Chancia Brown of Jackson, MS. Two granddaughters Alexis Sharpand Danae Sharp of Tacoma, Washington. Five sisters, Wilma Posey, Rutha(Willie) Washington, Enola Brown Smith and Odessa Latiker all of Benton, MS.and Debra Johnson of Byram, MS. One brother James Brown preceded him indeath. One Sister-in-Law, Lora Brown of Bentonia, MS. He also leaves tocherish his memory a special friend, Jerrie McGee and a host of nieces,nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
