Miss. Demetra Ann Jones was born September 22, 1969 in Massillon, Ohio, to the late Mr. Eugene Dennis and the late Ms. Mildred Jones. In 1972 Demetra was adopted by her grandmother/mom Elma B. Jones. Demetra attended New Paradise M.B. church at a young age under the leadership of Rev. Larry Brown. Demetra attended Yazoo City High School and graduated in 1988. On January 8, 2018. Demetra made her transition to go home to be with the Lord. Demetra was the mother of three children that she loved unconditionally. Demetra leaves to cherish her memories. Tiffany and Jeremy Jones of Yazoo City, Mississippi. Her farther Eugene Dennis of Holly Bluff, Mississippi. Two sister Marie Dennis and Luvenia Luckett (Bernard) of Yazoo City, Mississippi. One brother Christopher Battee of Rolling Fork, Mississippi. Seven grandkids De’Mareya, A’Riyah, Mariah (Maya kids) Jeremy, Jermya, Jermae (Jeremy kids) and Azarion Mitchell all of Yazoo City, Mississippi. Demetra was proceeded in death by her (mother) Mildred Jones, grandmother Marie Dennis-Lee (son) De’Marcus Jones. Special friends, Patricia Granderson, Raymond Carter, Mrs. Corine Booker, Ms. Gail Rucker, Ms. Geneva Cage, Ms. Sylvia Carter, Kathy Rhodes and Karen Oliver. Demetra was loved by many and a good friend to all that came into contact with her. She will be truly missed and forever loved. Especially by her 740 family.
