Edward "Fox, Cuz" Cousins, Jr was the third child born to Edward Cousin, Sr., and Lauree Chaney Cousin on June 1, 1945, in Pickens, MS. Fox, attended Smith Robertson Elementary School, Rowan Junior High School and graduated in 1963 from Lanier "833" High School. After graduating from "833", Fox attended Hinds Junior College in Utica, MS, and graduated in 1965.
Fox, as Edward was affectionately referred as joined the United States Army in 1965, served three years and fought in the Vietnam War. Fox received a Purple Heart for his services rendered to the U. S. Army.
Upon completion of serving his country, Fox returned to Chicago, IL, where he would live and make unforgettable memories.
Fox was employed with General Electric (GE) for 29 years, retired and relocated to Jackson, MS, to make more unforgettable memories with his family. Fox was also employed with Jackson Police Department and took pride in keeping the offices clean and very presentable. Fox retired from JPD after many years.
Fox was a faithful member of Fresh Start Christian Church for years , under the leadership of Pastor James Henley. Fox served as one of Fresh Start's Greeter's and enjoyed greeting everyone with a smile. One would often hear Fox singing his favorite song, "Moving Forward", he LOVED that song.
Sunday afternoon, the 1st day of March, the 60th day of 2026, with Joyce and Tori by his side, God ended all of Edward's pain and suffering and called him home.
Fox was preceded in death by his father Edward Cousin, Sr., mother, Lauree Cousin, brothers, Thomas Earl and Derrick Kenneth "Kenny" Cousin, sisters Gloria Jean Cousin and Dora Helen Cousin Sims.
Those who remain are comforted and assured because of God's promises and the living hope within that they will see Fox someday are: Lifelong friend, Joyce Thornton, son (grandson), Tori McWilliams, sisters, Elizabeth Ann Cousin and Maggie Cousin Carson, nieces, great-nieces, nephews and great-nephews from Milwaukee, WI, Chicago, IL,and Jackson, MS, Goddaughter, Tequella Davis, Lifelong family friends, The Thornton Family and a host of other relatives and friends.
