Felton Roberts, son of the late Morris and Bessie Roberts was born on October 1, 1946 in Bentonia, Mississippi. He was the youngest of elven children born to this union. Felton received his early education at Yazoo County School District. After his parents moved, he continued his education and graduated from Sam Brinkley High School in 1967. Felton confessed his love for the Lord and was baptized at an early age at Pleasant Grove M.B. Church under the leadership of Rev. Newsome. Later, he joined New Pleasant Grove M.B. Church where he served as an Usher until his health declined. Felton was drafted by the United States Army where he served his country during the Vietnam War for three years. Felton was a man of work. Felton drove trucks for a living. He drove for Boyd Brothers Trucking, J.B. Hunt Trucking, and MCH (Coke Cola Bottling) until his health failed. He was also employed by Lathan Funeral Home and Shaffer-Collins Funeral Home for many years. Felton was remarkably known for his indescribable love for women. Felton first met and married the formal Ann Ballard and to this union two girls was born. Then, he later met and married Beverly Styles and two girls were born to this union. Felton then found a long-lasting love of his life Rosena Bully and to this union a daughter and two sons were born. Felton is preceded in death by his wife Rosena, parents, Morris and Bessie Roberts; siblings: L.C. Roberts, Morris Ella Spriggins, Ozellia Shaffer Collins, T.C. Roberts, Louis Roberts, Minnie Vearl Roberts and Ranell Roberts. On Saturday, December 9, 2017, our beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend Felton Roberts slipped away with the angle of love to his new home. Felton leaves to mourn in hope and cherish their many fond memories and lessons learned five daughters: Sherise Roberts, Wesla (David) Taylor, Kimberly (Dale) Burse, Santryce Jones, Joanie Roberts, a step daughter; Ruby (Adrian) Jackson; two sons: Felton Roberts, Jr. and Dameon Roberts; Seventeen Grandchildren; One Great-Grandchild; Sisters: Carrie (Robert) Johnson and Eunice (Ray) Houston; one brother: Melvin Roberts; Sister-in-Law: Bernice Roberts, Norvedia Spencer, Linda Bully- Ward, Judy (Bennie) Harris, Pamela D. Bully, Jacqueline Tard, River Lee Bully; a brother-in-law: Ballard Tyrone (Gretta) Bully, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
