Ferdinand Keith Brown, affectionately known by family and friends as "Nando" and "Nana," was born on April 16, 1970, to the late Gertrude Brown and Eddie James Hoover. At an early age, he was baptized at Calvary Baptist Church in Yazoo City, MS. Nando received his GED from Duling School in Jackson, MS. He was widely known for his signature style and his natural ability to be the life of any special occasion. A man of conviction and humor, he was never one to mince words and would be quick to tell you, "I said what I said, and I meant what I said!" After a courageous battle with cancer, Ferdinand passed away on December 13, 2025, at the University Medical Center. Though he is gone from our sight, his vibrant spirit and sharp wit will never be forgotten. Ferdinand is survived by his devoted sister, Marilyn Brown; his loving nieces: Shutoria Brown and Shechika Hughes; his nephews and niece: Jalen Jones, Jashon Jones, Kason Hughes, Ashton Brown, Elias Hughes, and Skylar Billups; his companion, Cassandra Ollie; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gertrude Brown and Eddie James Hoover; his grandparents, Ollie Bell Henderson, Berl Maybell, and Mittie Pearl Hoover; and his niece, Shahara Brown.
