Gloria Jean Garrett- Jones

Mrs. Gloria Jean Garrett- Jones was born November 16, 1951 in Yazoo County to Mr. &Mrs. Walker and Elise Garrett, both whom preceded her in death. She is the second of seven children. On March 2,2019 she departed this life at Select Specialty Hospital in Jackson, MS.Gloria began her Christian walk at an early age, uniting with Pleasant Grove A.M.E church where she was a faithful and devoted member. She had a loving and warm- hearted spirit leaving her footprint on all she met. She was best known for her outspoken voice, outstanding personality and helping others. Gloria served faithfully as Secretary and a Member under the leadership of Rev.Carolyn Johnson, Elder George Willis Tyler and Rev.Caroline Claiborne. Gloria started her education to Linwood High School. After graduating  high school she started her career at Vicksburg Nursing School. After completing Nursing School, Gloria started working as a caregiver. Upon leaving Chicago, IL she moved back home and continued her career as a caregiver. Gloria was joined in holy matrimony to the late Wilbert Larry Jones in early 1996 who preceded her in death July 2006.
