Henry George Collins, Sr. was born on March 19, 1946 to the late Willie H. Collins, Sr. and Laura (McColler) Collins Henry accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior and joined Mt. Nebo M.B. Church where he served faithfully until his health failed. He was a Masonic Brother of the Scotland Lodge #543 for almost 40 years. He also served in the U.S. army during the Vietnam War. Henry went on to be employed at NAPA Benton Farm Supply for almost 30 years. Henry transitioned peacefully surrounded by his children and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers: J.W. Collins, Willie H. Collins, Jr and Howard Collins; one grandson: Cedric D. Collins, Jr. He leaves to cherish his memories: six children; Debra Collins (Charles) Dixon of Vaughan, MS, Shelia R. (Kenyon) Jones of Chester, VA, Helen (Carter) Coleman of Jackson, MS, Ernestine Banks of Vaughan, MS, Henry G. (Rhonda) Collins of Benton, MS and Cedric L. (Kawanna) Collins of Savanna, GA; five sisters and one brother: Mary Brown of Yazoo City, MS, Alice (Willie) Moton of Benton, MS, Elnora Evans of Chicago, Il, Willie M. Rattler of Byram, MS, Bertha Collins of Jackson, MS, seventeen grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
