Obituary

Miss Kentaria “Kapoo” Abbie Caprincia Lewis

It is clear that death is not the end, but a beginning of life forevermore.

On June 16, 2006, in Jackson, Mississippi, Octaria Inez Ollie and Kenneth Lewis became the proud

parents of a beautiful baby girl, and they named her Kentaria Abbie Caprincia Lewis. She was showered

with much love from her parents and grandparents. As much as she was loved by her earthly relatives,

God’s love for her was much greater, so He lifted her from this earth to her heavenly home to be with Him

on February 28, 2026.

Spiritually, Kentaria professed her belief and faith in Christ at Union Hill M.B Church in Flora, MS, under

the leadership of Pastor Roosevelt Barrett, and was baptized there on January 12, 2014, in the name of the

Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. She continued her fellowship at Union Hill under the

leadership of Pastor Robert Kelly. She served in praise dancing and the choir at Union Hill.

Lively, Kentaria spent her formative years in Flora and Gluckstadt, living with her mom and maternal

grandparents. Like her mother, Octaria - Kentaria was very fashionable and loved to sport stylish hairstyles.

Educationally, Kentaria attended Mansdale Elementary and Germantown Middle in Madison County. In

2025, she received her high school diploma from Germantown High School. At Germantown, she was a

standout JROTC Cadet for four years, which she loved and had a passion for. After graduating from H.S.,

she enrolled in Northwest Community College in Sentobia, MS. There, she majored in Medical Office

Technology. Her dream was to have a career in the medical field. Her dream was abruptly interrupted by

the untimely vehicle accident that would transition her to be with her heavenly Father at the twinkle of a

moment.

Affectionately, Kentaria was known by many as “Kapoo,” a nickname that her uncle Carlton started

calling her. “Kappo” was one of God’s special children – born in this world with special gifts and talents.

Her grandmother, Bobbie, inspired her to embrace her unique gifts by starting a small business named “KSK

Creations, where she, her cousin Shuncey, and sister Kamya (KSK) would decorate for various events.

Passionately, “Kapoo” was quiet and had the gift of caring for people. Being the oldest child, she

nurtured and assisted with the care of her four younger siblings. With that compassion, there was no

surprise that while at Northwest, she landed a part-time job at First Basis Home Health Care as a Personal Care

Care Assistant, where she interacted with and cared for an elderly patient who became very fond of her

and voiced that he wanted only her to be his caregiver.

Naturally, Kentaria “Kapoo” had a humble, quiet spirit that drew others into her world. She was an angel

among us. Her love for her grandparents was special and unconditional. Her love for her mother, sister, and

three brothers was so strong, like an unbreakable chain. Now, one link has been taken out of that chain

physically, but in spirit, “Kapoo’s” link will always be there.

Transitionally, Kentaria’s heavenly Father saw fit, as she traveled from Northwest College, to pull her

from her earthly home to be with Him in her new heavenly home. We say “gone too soon,” but God said

“it was time,” and Kentaria “Kapoo” Abbie Caprincia Lewis is happier now than she has ever been.

Kentaria leaves to cherish her lasting memories: her loving mother, Octaria Inez Ollie, and father

Kenneth Lewis, whom she loved both dearly; sister, Kamya; three brothers, Aaron, Aaden, and Levi; devoted

maternal grandparents Bobbie (Gregory) Smith; paternal grandfather, Carl Wilkerson; paternal

grandparents, Brenda Banks (Gerald) Roberts; paternal great-grandmother, Pauline Wilkerson; special

uncles, Shuntory and Carlton Ollie; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
