Shewas the fourth child born to the union.A TIME TO BE EDUCATEDLinda began her educational journey at Linda Elementary School. She laterattended Benton High School in the late 1970’s.A TIME TO BEGIN HER CHRISTIAN JOURNEYLinda accepted Christ as her personal Savior at an early age and joined Mt. Nebo MissionaryBaptist Church.A TIME TO LOVEOn September 16, 1983, Linda married Carl Collins. To this union four children were born:Renarda Renee’ Gainwell, Jacqueline Denise Gainwell, Cassandra Collins, and Louise Collins.Linda had a genuine love for her girls.A TIME TO WORKLinda worked tirelessly to provide for her family and her community. In the 1990’s, she workedfor Peco Foods in Canton, Mississippi. In 2010, she worked as an employee for Scotland Store,where she later became the owner.A TIME TO MOURNOur beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend transitioned from her earthlyhome to her heavenly home on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at Mississippi Baptist MedicalCenter in Jackson, MS. Surrounded by family she answered the call from her earthly home to herheavenly home.A TIME TO CHERISHLinda leaves to cherish her loving memories: a devoted husband, Carl Collins; four children:Renarda Renee’ Gainwell (Maurice Shaffer), Jacqueline Denise Morton (John Earl Morton),Cassandra Collins , and Louise Collins of Bentonia, MS; ten grandchildren: Riley Anderw,Rodrick Knight, Jr., Ivy Reece Shaffer, Carter Rose’ Williams, Chloe Chanel Robinson, ZoeyMarie Shaffer, and Jayden Amir Morton, Marshond and Maurice Shaffer, Jr., all of Bentonia, MS;parents, James Gainwell and Lousie Gainwell of Bentonia, MS; six brothers: James Gainwell, Jr.,Napolean (Cynthia Gainwell), Eddie Earl Gainwell, Charles Gainwell, Fredrick Gainwell, all ofBentonia, MS, and Curtis (Monica) Gainwell of Benton, MS; two sisters, Gloria Jean (EddieJames) Smith of Bentonia, MS, Dr. Caroline Jefferson of Bentonia, MS; three close friends,Venola Morris, Idella Jefferson and Magnolia Jefferson, and a special friend, Ronney Mabry; anda host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other family and friends.
