Margaret Jordan Perkins

Margaret Ann Perkins and her twin brother, Robert Clincy, were the youngest

of eight children born to the union of Marshall and Mahalia Clincy in Yazoo

County, Mississippi.

After graduating from Lanier High School in 1954, Margaret moved to

Philadelphia, PA, and on from there to Chicago, IL. While in Chicago, she

graduated from Lyddie Adam Beauty School and became an Illinois State

Licensed Cosmetologist in 1957.

Margaret attended Morgan Park Pentecostal Apostolic Church and was

baptized in the name of Jesus and filled with the Holy Ghost with evidence

of speaking in tongues. (Acts 2:38)

In Chicago, Margaret met Mr. James Jordan, and they were united in Holy

Matrimony in 1959. She and James moved to Gardenia, California, in 1979,

then to Denver, Colorado, in 1984, where James retired from United Airlines.

In 1988, Margaret and James moved to Madison County, Mississippi. James

passed away in 2007.

In 2009, Margaret and Clarence Perkins rekindled a relationship that they

had in 1949. After sixty years, they were united in Holy Matrimony in

2009. Clarence passed away in 2021.

Margaret Perkins departed this life on April 27, 2026. She was preceded in

death by her parents, four sisters: Ollie Lafayette, Christine Clincy, Minnie

Wakefield, and Marsha Powell; and two brothers: Richard and Robert

Clincy.

She is survived by one sister, Mildred King, her stepchildren, step-grandchildren,

step-great grands, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and loved ones.
