O’Shean Dekata Fields

With hearts filled with love and sorrow, we celebrate the life of O’Shean Dakata Fields, a bright and joyful little boy who brought warmth and light to everyone around him. Born on April 18, 2020, O’Shean filled his five years with laughter, curiosity, and a spirit that touched every heart he met.

O’Shean loved playing Roblox, watching his favorite cartoons, and spending time with his siblings, who were his greatest joy. His smile was infectious, and his gentle, playful nature made him a blessing to his family and all who knew him. He was truly a great kid—full of love, life, and promise.

He is preceded in death by his loving mother, Carrie Latosha Renee Fields-Burks.

O’Shean leaves to cherish his memory, his father: Alfred Burks; his sisters: Carryona McNair, Da'Niyah Fields, Jahzion Fields, and Makyla Colton; four brothers: Elija Simmons, Dontavious Simmons, Monterrious Fields, and Dillion Jones; his loving grandparents: Carrie Pepper, Bonny Fields, Jr., and Margaret Moore; his great-grandparents Nora Taylor and Charlie Taylor; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives who loved him deeply.

Though his time here was far too short, O’Shean’s love, light, and laughter will live on forever in the hearts of those who were blessed to know him.
