Robert Lee Green “Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit

shall return unto God who gave it.” | Ecclesiastes 12:7

Robert Lee Green was born on September 10, 1949, to the late David W.

Green, Sr., and Pearl Lee Briley Green in Yazoo City, Mississippi. Robert

was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings: Dorothy Grayer,

Gracie Warren, Mary A., David, Wiley, Larris, and Jessie Green.

Robert Lee attended the Yazoo City Training School and worked many jobs.

Robert was a kind-hearted and gentle spirit. He was a carpenter by trade,

and until his health began to fail, he enjoyed fixing and building things,

hunting, and fishing.

Robert married Marion Stuckey on August 18, 1976.

Robert departed this life on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at St. Dominic

Hospital in Jackson, Mississippi. He will be greatly missed by all who knew

and loved him.

His memories will be forever cherished by his daughter, Gracie LeAnna; his

daughter’s mother, JoAnn Willis; his daughter’s siblings: Toni, Billy, and

William Hudson; two brothers: King E. (Delores) Green of Pontiac, MI, and

Ennis E. Green of Yazoo City, MS; one sister, Della Smith of Milwaukee,

WI; his goddaughter, Angel Moore; his godson, Kameron Young, his

beloved, Gwenyth Hudson, whom he considered his granddaughter and a host

of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
