MR. SYLVESTER CLARKEMarch 25, 1931 ~ September 5, 2017Sylvester Clarke was born to Cohen and Beatrice Clarke in Yazoo City, MS. Theyoungest of four children, he exhibited a love for nature and animals at an early age.He served honorably in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.He was united in holy matrimony to Mary Ella (Jackson) Clarke on September 5, 1955.To this union were born six children: Carolyn (deceased), Danter (deceased), Dexter(Stephanie), Anthony, Casseokeya (Roosevelt) and Andre (Youlander).A man of few words but fastidious in principle, he was faithful member of Old Concord.He was preceded in death by his mother, Beatrice, father, Cohen, and eldest brother,Claude.He leaves to mourn his passing and cherish his memories: two sisters, Claudia Evans(San Francisco, CA) and Priscilla King (Sacramento, CA); and close cousins, LeonWatson (Jackson, MS) and Catherine Braden (Jackson, MS), along with beloved nephewand niece, Dalton Clarke (Flint, MI) and Deborah Smith (Jackson, MS). Sevengrandchildren and five great grandchildren are also left to honor his memory, in additionto a host of extended family, friends and loved ones.
