Thelma Lee Myers

Ms. Thelma Lee Myers was born on March 20, 1938 to the late Alice Purnell and Tommy Myers. She was preceded in death by her only son James Lee Myers, Four brothers and two sisters. She joined New Zion M.B. Church where she enjoyed the joyous voices of their choir under the leadership of Rev. Willie E.Smith. She remained a faithful member until her health began to fail. Ms.Red enjoyed spending quality time with her family as often as she could. SHe would sit and sing to her grandchildren her favorite melody, "Sweet Chariot". Ms.Thelma Red leaves to cherish her precious memories her only daugther: Nora (Charlie) Taylor two sisters Luella Hunt of Yazoo City, MS and Viola Myers of Chicago, IL three brothers, Lorenzo Myers of Yazoo City, MS Edward Myers of Chicago IL and Edward Myers of Jackson MS, grandchildren Curtis (Sharon) Day, Carrie Fields, Cleotha (Jessica) Ward Sr. and Reggie Day all of Jackson MS, Henry (Barabra) Ward, Shermedrick Day, Shauntina Day, Ramona Day and Quanesha Day all of Yazoo City, MS , (36) great-grands (27) great grands and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Everyone had a special place in her heart. Her heart was big and full of love for all of us.
