Willie Charles Johnson, Jr. was born on May 10, 1943 to W.C and Carrie Johnson of Cleveland, MS. W.C. accepted Christ at an early age and later joined Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Midnight, MS.
A TIME TO DIE
Willie’s journey ended on May 4, 2018 when God called him home to his eternal rest from Baptist Hospice Center in Jackson, MS. Preceding him in death are his Mother, Father, a beloved wife: Lula Johnson; (2) children: Kimberly James and Perry Johnson; a sister: Lessie B. Miner; (4) Brothers: Author, Layvan, Curtis and Rick Johnson.
A TIME TO LEARN
Willie attended primary school in Cleveland, MS. Willie was a man of many talents. He loved helping others and he loved his family. He worked at Alliance Steel for 35 years until he retired. Willie was a very strong person and he was loved by many people.
A TIME TO LOVE
W.C. met and married Lula Bland and to this union six children were born. W.C. later met and married Audrey Mays (The love of his Life). W.C. leaves to cherish his memory; a loving and devoted wife: Audrey Johnson; (6) daughters: Tracey Johnson and Sunandha (Oliver) Taylor of Indiana, Natasha (Marcus) Bennett and Ieasha (Darrion) Goodman of Chicago, IL, Jennifer Harris and Raveen (Sidney) Carey of Jackson, MS; (4) sons: Terry James of Minneapolis, MN; Charles (Tamu) Johnson of Indianapolis, IN, Joseph Mays of Jackson, MS and John (Hope) Mays of Yazoo City, MS; (4) sisters: Mattie (Jessie) Hutton of Columbus, MS, Kenyatta (Cedrick) Wesley of Cleveland, MS, Mattie Bland and Bertha Durms of Shelby, MS; a brother: Johnny (Ruth) Johnson of Columbus, MS; (25) Grandchildren; (2) Great-Grandchildren; an aunt: Rosie Mae Birrage of Cleveland, MS (4) Sisters-in-laws: Erma Taylor of Springfield, IL, Geneva Bell of Jackson, MS, Rebecca Johnson of Tupelo, MS and Pat J0hnson of Columbus, MS; (4) Brother- in-laws: James (Josephine) McClinton of Country Club Hills, IL, Joe Guider and John (Diane) McClinton of Chicago, IL and L.C. Davis of Glendale, AZ; a special granddaughter, Amirah Mays; special friends: Keith, Forest and Bobby; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
