Mrs. Willie Pearl Winsclet-Palmer began her journey of life on January 21, 1918. She was the fifth child of a family of ten to the Late Mr. Johnand Mary Gluber-Winsclet.Mother Palmer accepted Christ at an early age at County Line M. B. Church where she was a member for ninety-one years. She was a faithfulmember until her health failed. She talked about church and the good old days. She was most proud when her children came back to church.Mother Palmer was married to the late Rufus Palmer, Sr. on November 18, 1935 during the great depression. They were married fifty years beforethe Lord called him home on August 1, 1985. There were sixteen born to this union.Mother Palmer was preceded in death by her husband, Rufus Palmer, Sr.; two daughters: Catherine Butler and Willie Pearl Hudson; six sons:Levon Palmer, Sr., Andrew Shelby, Robert E. Palmer, Sr., J. B. Palmer, Eugene Palmer, and Alonzo Palmer.She leaves to cherish her memories and continue her Legacy of a Life Well Lived ~ four sons: Rufus Palmer, Jr., Charlie Palmer, James (Faye) Palmerand David (Valerie) Palmer; four daughters: Rosella Hughes, Mary Underwood, Stellastine (Milton) Pate, and Mary J. Palmer; sister-in-law: Mrs.Mazola Palmer; three daughter-in-law’s: Almedia Shelby, Deloris Palmer and Vanessa Palmer; fifty-seven grandchildren; one hundred thirty-eightgreat-grandchildren; forty-six great-great grandchildren; two honorary sons:Fred Singleton and John Ball; a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
