- Our brother was one of the most unusual human beings you would have
- ever met, Cowboy Sean Brown. He has gone to be with his mother.
- Sean was born on May 29, 1960 to the late Asa Lee Douglas and Samuel
- L. Brown Jr. and grew up with two siblings. Sean was born a Catholic and
- attended Catholic Schools in Chicago, Il until his return to Yazoo City, MS
- during his middle school years. After graduating from High School, he
- served 4 years in the United States Army. After military life he decided he
- wanted to be a true Cowboy. He went to Palmer, Alaska where he took
- guest on guided horseback tours and became a good friend to Country Star
- singer Jewel. He worked the Valdez Oil Spill in Alaska and was able to ride
- rodeo with the famous Charlie Sampson Rodeo Bull Rider. After riding he
- then went on and Studied Farrier Science at Oklahoma Horseshoeing
- School in Purcell, OK.
- After returning from Oklahoma he moved to Columbus, Georgia where he
- drove horse and buggy for the downtown tourist a little over a year. He
- returned back to Mississippi and found his cowgirl (Cynthia Woods) and
- they set off to Cody, Wyoming where He led tours in the mountains for
- Hidden Creek outfitters. After falling down a cliff and breaking his tail bone
- on a tour, he went on to attend Sage Truck Driving School in Billins, MT.
- and drove Trucks for Swift Trucking in Iowa, until he returned to Yazoo City,
- Ms.
- In May of 2024 he moved to Columbus, GA to be closer to his two sisters
- and went faithfully every day to assist his great nephew with his Athletic
- Training Facility. In June of 2025, he decided he wanted to fix his mother’s
- home that was damaged from the storm and returned to Yazoo.
- Sadly, God saw he was getting weary, and did what he thought best. He
- came and stood beside him, and whispered, “Come and Rest.” He bade
- no one a last farewell not even a good-bye. He was gone before we knew it
